Meols Hall Sing-Out
Wayfarers Chorus were invited to perform two 30 minute sets at a MacMillan fundraiser in Meols Hall on Tuesday 28 November. The event took place in the Tithe Barn, a location often used for weddings and so used to people making sweet music together!
Tuesday is our traditional rehearsal night and this was reflected in the fact that we fielded an almost complete chorus of 27, a good number to ensure the Tithe Barne was filled with sound.
The two sets covered most of our repertoire. Our first set opened the evening, the entertainment continuing with a flower arranging demonstration before we closed the evening with our second set and sent the audience on their way with ‘Irish Blessing’.
Between the capacity audience and the number of raffle tickets sold I’m sure that a decent amount was raised during the course of the evening.
